What is the Delhi Police HC Salary? (In-Hand Estimate)

Selected candidates will be appointed as Head Constable (AWO/TPO) in Pay Level-4 with a pay scale of ₹25,500 - ₹81,100.

How Much is the In-hand Salary?

Your starting Basic Pay will be ₹25,500 per month. Along with this, you'll receive allowances like Dearness Allowance (DA), House Rent Allowance (HRA), and Transport Allowance (TPA), which are high in Delhi. The selection process is a multi-stage recruitment drive. Final merit is based only on the marks of the Computer Based Exam.

Delhi Police AWO/TPO Syllabus & Exam Pattern (CBE)

The online exam will have 100 questions for 100 marks, with a total duration of 90 minutes. There will be a negative marking of 0.25 marks for each wrong answer.

Minimum Qualifying Marks in the Computer Based Exam

While the final merit list is based on the highest scores, candidates must first score a minimum percentage in the Computer Based Exam to be considered qualified. According to the notification, the minimum qualifying marks are:

  • General / EWS: 40%
  • SC / ST / OBC: 35%
  • Ex-Servicemen: 30%

Note: Only candidates who score above these marks will be considered for the shortlist for the PE&MT stage.

Detailed Computer Proficiency Test (Qualifying)

Candidates who clear the PE&MT and Trade Test must also pass a computer skill test. This includes:

  • English Word Processing Test: You must demonstrate a speed of 1000 key depressions in 15 minutes.
  • Test of Basic Computer Functions: You will be tested on formatting features in:
    • MS-Word (e.g., underlining, font size, page numbering, tables, bullets).
    • MS-PowerPoint (e.g., inserting charts, text with WordArt, slide numbering).
    • MS-Excel (e.g., merging cells, font style, bold/underline/italics).
