Are You Eligible for This Training?
Before you apply, please make sure you meet these essential requirements:
- Age Limit: You must be between 18 and 35 years old as of 09.09.2025.
- Residency: You must be a resident of Odisha state. You will need to show a valid residential certificate.
- Special Preference: Preference will be given to candidates from the Sundargarh District and RSP Impact Zones (Bisra, Kuarmunda, Nuagaon, Lathikata, Rourkela Municipality, Rourkela Industrial Township, Resettlement Colonies, and Steel Villages).
- Previous Training: If you have already completed a similar training program at IGH in the past, you are not eligible to apply again.
- Medical Fitness: Final selection will be subject to a medical examination as per SAIL's rules.
What is the Work of a Trainee? (Job Role)
This training is hands-on, meaning you will learn by doing real work. Here’s a simple idea of what you might be doing:
Medical Attendant Trainee
Your main role is to support the hospital staff. This includes tasks like basic patient care, helping move patients (on wheelchairs or stretchers), maintaining cleanliness in the wards, and assisting nurses with their duties.
Hospital Administration Trainee
You will work in the hospital's office. Your tasks will include managing patient files, handling patient registration (admissions and discharge), helping with billing, and supporting the HR, finance, or marketing departments.
OT/Anesthesia Assistant Trainee
You will work inside the operation theatre (OT). Your job will be to prepare the OT before surgery, ensure all equipment is sterilized and ready, and assist the anesthetist and surgical team during procedures.

What is the Selection Process?
The selection process is simple, but you must follow the steps correctly. It is not a direct walk-in interview.
- First, you must apply online before the last date (30th Sept 2025).
- SAIL/IGH will review all applications and create a shortlist of eligible candidates.
- Only shortlisted candidates will be called for an interview.
- Interview details (date, time, venue) will be sent only via SMS to your registered mobile number and will be posted on the official website (igh.sailrsp.co.in). No postal letters will be sent.
What Documents Do You Need for the Interview?
If you are shortlisted for the interview, you must bring the following original documents and one set of self-attested photocopies.

Please check your documents carefully. The dates are very important:
- Your Residential Certificate must be issued on or after 01.01.2022.
- Your Income Certificate (or BPL/BSKY/Ration Card) must be issued on or after 01.01.2024.
If your documents are older than these dates, they may not be accepted.
- Your printed and signed Application, Declaration, and Verification forms.
- Two recent passport-size color photographs.
- All educational certificates and mark sheets (10th, 12th, BBA, MBA, etc.).
- Aadhaar Card (for identity proof).
- Caste/Category Certificate (if applicable).
- Residential Certificate (as per the date rule above).
- Proof of being underprivileged (Income Cert, BPL, BSKY, or Ration Card as per the date rule above).
- Experience Certificate (if required for your post, like for the OT Assistant).
- No Objection Certificate (NOC) if you are currently employed in a Govt./PSU/Autonomous body.
