Eligibility Criteria & Selection Process
Candidates must have passed their qualifying B.E/B.Tech/Diploma/BBA/B.Com examinations. Final year students are not eligible to apply.
Selection Process
The selection will be based on merit. Generally, this means a merit list will be prepared based on the marks obtained in your qualifying degree or diploma. There will be no written examination. Shortlisted candidates will be informed for document verification.
How to Apply (Offline Process)
The application process is completely offline. Please follow the steps carefully to ensure your application is submitted correctly.
Step 1: NATS Portal Registration (Mandatory)
Before filling out the application form, all candidates must register themselves on the National Apprenticeship Training Scheme (NATS) portal at www.nats.education.gov.in. Your NATS Enrollment Number is required to be filled in the application form.
- After registering on the NATS portal, download the application form from the official DRDO website.
- Fill out the form correctly in block letters. Be careful with details like your NATS number and educational qualifications.
- Note: The application form may have an older advertisement number. Please use the form as is, but be aware that the current advertisement number is ITR/HRD/AT/10/2025.
- Attach self-attested photocopies of all the required documents (see checklist below).
- Affix a recent passport-size photograph on the form.
- Place the filled form and documents in an envelope and superscribe it as instructed below.
- Send the application via Speed Post or Registered Post only to the given address.
How to Write on the Envelope
You must write the following on top of your application envelope:
"APPLICATION FOR APPRENTICESHIP TRAINING: CATEGORY: [GRADUATE/TECHNICIAN] APPRENTICE & SUBJECT/DISCIPLINE: [Your Subject]"
