LIC AAO 2025 - Selection Procedure
The selection process for the AAO (Generalist) post is a three-tiered process:
- Phase-I: Preliminary Examination: This is an online objective test and is qualifying in nature. Marks obtained in this phase will not be counted for the final merit list.
- Phase-II: Main Examination: Candidates shortlisted from the prelims will appear for the main exam. It consists of both objective and descriptive tests.
- Phase-III: Interview: Based on the Main Examination marks, candidates will be shortlisted for the interview.
Final Selection

Service Conditions
Probation Period
Appointed candidates will be on probation for a period of one year from the date of joining. This may be extended up to two years.
Guarantee Bond
Before joining, candidates must give an undertaking to serve LIC for a minimum period of four years. Failing this, they will be liable to pay liquidated damages of Rs. 5,00,000/- (Rupees Five Lakhs only).
Pre-Examination Training
SC/ST/OBC/PwBD candidates who wish to avail the benefit of pre-examination training can register at their convenient LIC Divisional Office within one week of the last date of online application. The training will be at the candidate's own cost.
