LIC AAO 2025 - Selection Procedure

The selection process for the AAO (Generalist) post is a three-tiered process:

  1. Phase-I: Preliminary Examination: This is an online objective test and is qualifying in nature. Marks obtained in this phase will not be counted for the final merit list.
  2. Phase-II: Main Examination: Candidates shortlisted from the prelims will appear for the main exam. It consists of both objective and descriptive tests.
  3. Phase-III: Interview: Based on the Main Examination marks, candidates will be shortlisted for the interview.

Final Selection

The final merit list will be prepared based on the combined marks obtained in the Main Examination and the Interview. Shortlisted candidates will then undergo a Pre-recruitment Medical Examination.

Service Conditions

Probation Period

Appointed candidates will be on probation for a period of one year from the date of joining. This may be extended up to two years.

Guarantee Bond

Before joining, candidates must give an undertaking to serve LIC for a minimum period of four years. Failing this, they will be liable to pay liquidated damages of Rs. 5,00,000/- (Rupees Five Lakhs only).

Pre-Examination Training

SC/ST/OBC/PwBD candidates who wish to avail the benefit of pre-examination training can register at their convenient LIC Divisional Office within one week of the last date of online application. The training will be at the candidate's own cost.
