EMRS Exam Pattern and Selection Process 2025

The selection process for all posts is a multi-stage process conducted in OMR Based (Pen-Paper) mode.

Understanding the Two-Tier Exam System

For all posts, there will be two exams:

  • Tier-I (Preliminary Exam): This is a qualifying exam. You must pass this to be eligible for the next stage. Its marks are not counted for the final merit list.
  • Tier-II (Main Exam): This is the main competitive exam. Your final selection will be based on your performance in this test.

After Tier-II, there will be an Interview for the post of Principal and a Skill Test for the post of JSA.

Important Notes on Qualifying Tests (Language & Skill Test)

  • Qualifying Language Test: For PGTs and TGTs, Part-VI of the Tier-I exam is a Language Competency Test. You must score a minimum of 40% in this part. If you fail to score 40%, the rest of your paper (Parts I to V) will not be evaluated.
  • Choosing a Regional Language (for TGTs): TGT candidates must choose one regional language from the notified list as part of their Language Competency test.
  • JSA Skill Test Details: For the JSA post, candidates will be called for the qualifying Typing Test in a 1:3 ratio (3 candidates for every 1 vacancy) based on their Tier-II exam marks.
