What is the Bank Apprentice Stipend?
Selected apprentices will receive a fixed monthly stipend during the one-year training period.
Stipend Details
The total monthly stipend is ₹15,000. This amount is paid as follows:
- ₹10,500 will be paid by Canara Bank into your account each month.
- ₹4,500, which is the Government of India's share, will be credited directly to your bank account through DBT (Direct Benefit Transfer) mode.
This is a fixed stipend, and apprentices are not eligible for any other allowances or benefits available to permanent bank employees.

Educational Qualification
- A Graduate Degree in any discipline from a university recognized by the Government of India.

The age of the candidate should be between 20 and 28 years. This means you must have been born not earlier than 01.09.1997 and not later than 01.09.2005. (Age relaxation for reserved categories is applicable as per government norms).

You are not eligible to apply if:
- You have already undergone apprenticeship training in Canara Bank or any other organization before.
- You have one or more years of job experience after completing your graduation.

What is the Selection Process?
The selection process for the Canara Bank Apprentice program is straightforward and does not involve any written examination.
- Online Application: First, you must register on the NATS portal and then apply on the Canara Bank website.
- Merit List Preparation: A merit list will be prepared for each state in descending order based on the marks/percentage obtained in your 12th Std (HSC/10+2) or Diploma Examination.
- Document Verification & Local Language Test: Shortlisted candidates will be called for document verification and a local language proficiency test.
- Medical Examination: Final selection is subject to being declared medically fit.

A test to check your proficiency in the local language of the state you have applied for will be conducted during document verification. However, there is an exemption:
- If you have studied the opted local language as a subject in your 10th or 12th standard (and can prove it with your mark sheet), you will not be required to take this test.
Training Duration and Leave Policy for Apprentices
- Training Duration: The period of apprenticeship training will be exactly 12 months (1 Year) from the date of joining.
- Leave Policy: Apprentices are entitled to one Casual Leave for every month of completed training. This totals to 12 Casual Leaves for the entire one-year duration.
