SBI Clerk 2025: Salary and Pay Scale
Basic Pay and Increments
The pay scale for Junior Associates is ₹24050-1340/3-28070-1650/3-33020-2000/4-41020-2340/7-57400-4400/1-61800-2680/1-64480. The starting Basic Pay is ₹26,730/- (which includes two advance increments admissible to graduates).
Total Emoluments
The total starting emoluments for a clerical cadre employee in a metro city like Mumbai will be around ₹46,000/- per month, inclusive of D.A. and other allowances.
SBI Clerk 2025: Eligibility Criteria
Essential Academic Qualification (as on 31.12.2025)
- Graduation in any discipline from a recognised University or any equivalent qualification.
- Candidates in their final year/semester of graduation may also apply provisionally, provided they produce proof of passing the graduation examination on or before 31.12.2025 if selected.
Age Limit (as on 01.04.2025)
- Minimum Age: 20 Years
- Maximum Age: 28 Years
- Candidates must have been born not earlier than 02.04.1997 and not later than 01.04.2005 (both days inclusive).
Proficiency in Local Language
Candidates applying for vacancies in a particular State/UT must be proficient (reading, writing, speaking, and understanding) in the specified local language of that State/UT. A language test will be conducted before final appointment.

SBI Clerk 2025: Selection Procedure
The selection process consists of an online examination conducted in two phases, followed by a language test.
- Phase I: Preliminary Examination: This online objective test is for screening purposes. Marks obtained will not be added to the final merit list.
- Phase II: Main Examination: Candidates who qualify in the Prelims will be called for the Main Exam. The final selection will be based on the marks obtained in this exam.
- Test of Specified Opted Local Language: Provisionally selected candidates must qualify this test to be offered an appointment. Candidates who have studied the local language in the 10th or 12th standard are exempted.
