NIACL AO 2025: Salary and Emoluments
Pay Scale
The basic pay is ₹50,925/- in the scale of ₹50925-2500(14)-85925-2710(4)-96765.
Total Emoluments and Other Benefits
The total gross emoluments will be approximately ₹90,000/- per month in Metropolitan Centers. Other benefits include coverage under the National Pension System (NPS), Gratuity, Leave Travel Subsidy (LTS), Medical Benefits, and Group Personal Accident Insurance.

Age Limit (as on 01.08.2025)
- Minimum Age: 21 Years
- Maximum Age: 30 Years
- Candidates must have been born not earlier than 2nd Aug 1995 and not later than 1st Aug 2004 (both dates inclusive).

For Generalist Posts
- A Graduate or Post Graduate degree in any discipline with at least 60% marks (55% for SC/ST/PwBD candidates).
For Specialist Posts
- Risk Engineers: Engineering (Graduation/Post-graduation) in any discipline.
- Automobile Engineers: B.E./B.Tech./M.E./M.Tech in Automobile Engineering.
- Legal Specialists: Graduate/Post-graduate in Law.
- Accounts Specialists: Chartered Accountant (ICAI) or MBA Finance/PGDM Finance/M.Com.
- AO (Health): M.B.B.S/M.D./M.S. or B.D.S/M.D.S or BAMS/BHMS.
- IT Specialists: B.E./B.Tech/M.E/M.Tech in IT or Computer Science or M.C.A.

NIACL AO 2025: Selection Procedure
The selection process will be conducted in three phases:
- Phase-I: Preliminary Examination: An online objective test of 100 marks. It is a qualifying exam to shortlist candidates for the Main Exam.
- Phase-II: Main Examination: This includes an online Objective Test (200 marks) and a Descriptive Test (30 marks). The marks from the objective test will be considered for shortlisting for the interview.
- Phase-III: Interview: Candidates who are shortlisted in the Main Exam will be called for an interview.
Final Selection
The final merit list will be prepared based on the consolidated marks of the Main Examination (Objective Test) and the Interview, with a weightage of 75:25 respectively.

Descriptive Test Details
Immediately after the Main Objective Test, a 30-minute Descriptive Test for 30 marks (Letter Writing - 10 marks & Essay - 20 marks) will be conducted online. This test is qualifying in nature and the marks will not be counted for the final merit list.
Penalty for Wrong Answers
For each wrong answer in the objective tests (both Prelims and Mains), one-fourth of the marks assigned to that question will be deducted.

Guarantee Bond
Selected candidates will have to give an undertaking to serve the Company for a minimum period of four years, including the probation period.
Probation Period
Appointed officers will be on probation for a period of one year from the date of joining. During this period, they must pass the non-life 'Licentiate Examination' conducted by the Insurance Institute of India for confirmation.
