Reservation for Special Categories

Salary and Pay Scale Details
Pay Scale for Technician
Selected candidates will be placed in Level-5, Cell-1 of the pay matrix as per ORSP Rules, 2017, with a starting pay of Rs. 21,700/- plus DA and other allowances.
Pay Scale for Junior Assistant
Selected candidates will be placed in Level-4, Cell-1 of the pay matrix as per ORSP Rules, 2017, with a starting pay of Rs. 19,900/- plus DA and other allowances.
OREDA Recruitment 2025 - Eligibility Criteria
Nationality & Age Limit (as on 01/07/2025)
- Nationality: Must be a citizen of India.
- Technician Age Limit: 18 to 42 years.
- Junior Assistant Age Limit: 21 to 42 years.
- Age Relaxation: The upper age limit is relaxable by 5 years for ST/SC/SEBC/Women and 10 years for PwD candidates.
Educational Qualification
For Technician
- Must have passed HSC or equivalent.
- Must possess an ITI pass certificate (NCVT) in Electrician, Mechanic, or IT & ESM trades with at least 50% marks in aggregate.
- Minimum 50% marks throughout the career for UR/SEBC and 45% for SC/ST/PwD candidates.
For Junior Assistant
- Must be a Graduate in any discipline with at least 50% aggregate marks.
- Must have a PGDCA or equivalent certificate from a government-recognized institution.
- Minimum 50% marks throughout the career for UR/SEBC and 45% for SC/ST candidates.
- Preference will be given to candidates with a degree in Commerce/Accountancy.
Language Proficiency
Candidates for both posts must be able to read, write, and speak Odia and must have passed at least the M.E. School examination with Odia as a language subject.

OREDA Recruitment 2025 - Selection Process
The selection process differs for each post:
- For Technician: The selection will be based on a Computer Based Test (CBT) followed by a Skill Test for shortlisted candidates.
- For Junior Assistant: The selection will be based solely on the performance in the Computer Based Test (CBT).
- Document Verification: Shortlisted candidates from the CBT (in a 1:3 ratio for the Technician post) will be called for document verification.
- Final Merit List: A final merit list will be prepared based on performance. For Technicians, it will be based on both CBT and Skill Test marks. For Junior Assistants, it will be based only on CBT marks.
