IBPS Clerk 2025: Salary and Pay Scale
The pay scale for the Customer Service Associate (Clerk) post is as follows:
- Pay Scale: ₹24050-1340/3-28070-1650/3-33020-2000/4-41020-2340/7-57400-4400/1-61800-2680/1-64480
Selected candidates will also be eligible for Dearness Allowance, House Rent Allowance, and other perquisites as per the rules of the respective Participating Bank.
IBPS Clerk 2025: Eligibility Criteria
Age Limit (as on 01.08.2025)
- Minimum Age: 20 Years
- Maximum Age: 28 Years
- Candidates must have been born not earlier than 02.08.1997 and not later than 01.08.2005 (both dates inclusive).
Educational Qualification (as on 21.08.2025)
- A Degree (Graduation) in any discipline from a University recognised by the Govt. of India.
- Computer Literacy: Operating and working knowledge in computer systems is mandatory. Candidates should have a Certificate/Diploma/Degree in computer operations or have studied Computer/IT as a subject.
- Language Proficiency: Candidates must be proficient (reading, writing, and speaking) in the official language of the State/UT they are applying for.
Application Fee
- For SC/ST/PwBD/ESM/DESM Candidates: ₹ 175/- (inclusive of GST)
- For all other candidates (General/OBC/EWS): ₹ 850/- (inclusive of GST)
The fee must be paid online between 1st August and 21st August 2025.
IBPS Clerk 2025: Selection Process
The selection process consists of an online examination conducted in two phases, followed by a language test.
- Phase I: Preliminary Examination: This is a qualifying examination. Candidates must clear the sectional and overall cut-offs to be shortlisted for the Main Exam.
- Phase II: Main Examination: The marks obtained in the Main Examination will be the sole criteria for preparing the final merit list.
- Local Language Proficiency Test (LLPT): Provisionally allotted candidates will undergo a language test. Those who have studied the local language in the 10th standard or above are exempted. This test is qualifying in nature.

Penalty for Wrong Answers
For each wrong answer in both the Preliminary and Main examinations, one-fourth (0.25) of the marks assigned to that question will be deducted.
