A Strategic Guide to the Post-Wise Selection Process

The selection process is very different and quite complex for each post. It's crucial that you understand the exact pattern for the job you want.

For Junior Clerk-cum-Copyist (445 Marks Total)

This role has a detailed written exam covering English, Arithmetic, and GK. This is followed by a computer test and an interview, and all parts are counted towards your final merit.

For Junior Typist & Stenographer (185 Marks Total)

For these skill-based jobs, the main written paper (English) is only for qualifying. This means your final selection will depend almost entirely on how well you do in the Skill Test (Typing/Shorthand), the Computer Test, and the final Viva-Voce.

For Salaried Amin (400 Marks Total)

This exam is highly technical and has several written and practical parts that focus on English, Arithmetic, and the specific technical knowledge required for an Amin's duties.

💡 Pro-Tips for a Perfect Offline Application

Many offline applications get rejected for simple mistakes. Here's how to make sure yours is accepted:

  1. If you want to apply for more than one post, you MUST submit a completely separate application for each one. But remember, the exam for all posts is on the same day, so you can only appear for one.
  2. Don't forget to include the three self-addressed envelopes with postage stamps. This is a mandatory rule, and they will use these to send you your admit card.
  3. You need to get Character Certificates from two different gazetted officers. Plan this in advance!
