This is a brilliant chance for 10th and 12th pass candidates, both with and without ITI certificates, to learn valuable technical skills in one of India's top Railway production units.
The best part? There is NO written exam and NO interview. Your selection will be based purely on your 10th-grade marks. The online application is open from July 12 to August 11, 2025. Fresher vs. Ex-ITI: Which Category is Right for You?
💡 Let's Clear Up the Confusion
This recruitment has two separate categories for applicants. It's very important to apply in the right one:
- Freshers (330 Posts): This category is for you if you have passed the 10th or 12th standard but do NOT have an ITI certificate. You will be trained from the very beginning in trades like Fitter, Welder, and Electrician.
- Ex-ITI (680 Posts): This category is for you if you have passed the 10th standard AND you also have a National Trade Certificate (NTC) from an ITI in a relevant trade. You will receive more advanced training in the trade you are already certified in.
Remember: This is a one-year training program. It does not guarantee you a permanent job at ICF when you finish.
Vacancy & Stipend Details
Your Monthly Stipend During Training
- For 10th Pass Freshers: ₹6,000/- per month.
- For 12th Pass Freshers (in the MLT trade): ₹7,000/- per month.
- For all Ex-ITI Candidates: ₹7,000/- per month.
A Guide to the Merit-Based Selection Process
There is no written test, no interview, and no viva-voce. Your selection depends entirely on how well you did in school.
💡 How the Merit List is Made: Your 10th Marks Are EVERYTHING!
The selection process is very simple and transparent:
- A merit list will be created for all applicants based on the percentage of marks they scored in their 10th standard (Matriculation) exam.
- Even for Ex-ITI candidates, the marks from the ITI certificate are NOT used for creating the merit list; only your 10th-grade marks matter.
- The candidates with the highest marks will be called for Document Verification.
This means if you scored very high marks in your 10th board exams, you have an excellent chance of being selected for this training program.
⚠️ Super Important: A Warning for Overqualified Candidates
The notification is very strict about this rule: candidates with higher qualifications like a Diploma or a Degree in Engineering are NOT eligible to apply for this apprenticeship (the only exception is the MLT trade which requires 12th). This recruitment is strictly for 10th, 12th, and ITI-level candidates.
