IBPS SO 2025: Salary and Pay Scale

Candidates selected for the Specialist Officer (Scale I) post will be offered a competitive salary package. The pay scale is as follows:

Nationality and Citizenship

A candidate must be a citizen of India, a subject of Nepal or Bhutan, or a Tibetan refugee who came to India before January 1, 1962.   • 4-year Engineering/Technology Degree in Computer Science/IT/Electronics/Telecommunications, etc. OR
  • Post Graduate Degree in Electronics/CS/IT/Computer Applications, etc. OR
  • Graduate having passed DOEACC 'B' level.

Agricultural Field Officer (Scale I)

  • 4-year Degree (graduation) in Agriculture, Horticulture, Animal Husbandry, Veterinary Science, Dairy Science, Fishery Science, or other allied sectors.

Rajbhasha Adhikari (Scale I)

  • Post Graduate Degree in Hindi with English as a subject at the degree (graduation) level. OR
  • Post Graduate degree in Sanskrit with English and Hindi as subjects at the degree level.

Law Officer (Scale I)

  • A Bachelor's Degree in Law (LLB) and must be enrolled as an advocate with the Bar Council.

HR/Personnel Officer (Scale I)

  • Graduate and a two-year full-time Post Graduate degree or diploma in Personnel Management, Industrial Relations, HR, HRD, Social Work, or Labour Law.

Marketing Officer (Scale I)

  • Graduate and a two-year full-time MMS (Marketing), MBA (Marketing), PGDBA, PGDBM, PGPM, or PGDM with specialization in Marketing.

Credit History Requirement

Candidates applying for the posts must maintain a healthy credit history. The minimum required CIBIL score will be as per the policy of the participating banks at the time of joining.

IBPS SO 2025: Selection Process

The selection process for IBPS Specialist Officers is conducted in three successive stages:

  1. Preliminary Examination: An online objective test to screen candidates for the main examination.
  2. Main Examination: Candidates who qualify the prelims will appear for the main exam, which tests professional knowledge.
  3. Interview: Candidates shortlisted from the main exam will be called for a personal interview.

Penalty for Wrong Answers

Yes, there is a penalty for incorrect answers in both the Preliminary and Main examinations. For each wrong answer, 0.25 marks (one-fourth of the marks assigned to that question) will be deducted.

Biometric Verification
