IBPS SO 2025: Salary and Pay Scale
Candidates selected for the Specialist Officer (Scale I) post will be offered a competitive salary package. The pay scale is as follows:
- Scale of Pay: ₹ 48480-2000/7-62480-2340/2-67160-2680/7-85920.

IBPS SO 2025: Eligibility Criteria
Candidates must ensure they fulfill all eligibility criteria regarding nationality, age, and education before applying.
Nationality and Citizenship
A candidate must be a citizen of India, a subject of Nepal or Bhutan, or a Tibetan refugee who came to India before January 1, 1962. Certain persons of Indian origin who have migrated from specific countries are also eligible, provided they have a certificate of eligibility from the Government of India.

- 4-year Engineering/Technology Degree in Computer Science/IT/Electronics/Telecommunications, etc. OR
- Post Graduate Degree in Electronics/CS/IT/Computer Applications, etc. OR
- Graduate having passed DOEACC 'B' level.
Agricultural Field Officer (Scale I)
- 4-year Degree (graduation) in Agriculture, Horticulture, Animal Husbandry, Veterinary Science, Dairy Science, Fishery Science, or other allied sectors.
Rajbhasha Adhikari (Scale I)
- Post Graduate Degree in Hindi with English as a subject at the degree (graduation) level. OR
- Post Graduate degree in Sanskrit with English and Hindi as subjects at the degree level.
Law Officer (Scale I)
- A Bachelor's Degree in Law (LLB) and must be enrolled as an advocate with the Bar Council.
HR/Personnel Officer (Scale I)
- Graduate and a two-year full-time Post Graduate degree or diploma in Personnel Management, Industrial Relations, HR, HRD, Social Work, or Labour Law.
Marketing Officer (Scale I)
- Graduate and a two-year full-time MMS (Marketing), MBA (Marketing), PGDBA, PGDBM, PGPM, or PGDM with specialization in Marketing.
Credit History Requirement

IBPS SO 2025: Selection Process
The selection process for IBPS Specialist Officers is conducted in three successive stages:
- Preliminary Examination: An online objective test to screen candidates for the main examination.
- Main Examination: Candidates who qualify the prelims will appear for the main exam, which tests professional knowledge.
- Interview: Candidates shortlisted from the main exam will be called for a personal interview.
Provisional Allotment

Penalty for Wrong Answers
Yes, there is a penalty for incorrect answers in both the Preliminary and Main examinations. For each wrong answer, 0.25 marks (one-fourth of the marks assigned to that question) will be deducted.

- A provisional registration number and password will be generated and sent to your email and mobile number.

Guidelines for Scanning and Uploading Documents

Rules for Scribe and Compensatory Time
Eligible candidates can use their own scribe at their own cost. The scribe must have a qualification one step below that of the candidate. Compensatory time of 20 minutes per hour of the examination is permitted for candidates who are eligible for and have requested a scribe or are otherwise eligible for it as per the guidelines.
Examination Centres
The preliminary and main examinations will be conducted online at various centres across India. The tentative list of centres is provided in Annexure-II of the official notification. A candidate must select their preferred exam centre while filling out the application form, but IBPS reserves the right to allot any centre.
Identity Verification
Required Documents
At the examination hall and during the interview, candidates must produce a valid call letter, a photocopy of a valid photo identity proof (PAN Card, Passport, Driving License, Aadhaar Card, etc.), and the original ID proof. The name on the ID proof must exactly match the name on the call letter.
Biometric Verification
Biometric data (thumb impression) and a photograph will be captured at various stages of the selection process to verify the candidate's identity.
