What is the Salary for a BEL Trainee Engineer?
BEL offers a competitive consolidated remuneration for its Trainee Engineers, which increases each year. Here's the monthly breakdown:
- 1st Year: ₹30,000/- per month
- 2nd Year: ₹35,000/- per month
- 3rd Year (if extended): ₹40,000/- per month
Additional Allowances & Benefits
On top of the monthly salary, you will be eligible for several other benefits:
- Insurance Coverage: You will be covered under a Medical Insurance scheme for ₹2 lakh per annum and a Life Insurance scheme for ₹5 lakh per annum.
- Annual Allowance: A consolidated amount of ₹12,000 per year for expenses like insurance premiums, attire, footwear, etc.
- Site & Work Allowances:
- Area Allowance: 10% of your monthly pay if posted to customer/project sites.

- Educational Qualification: You must have a 4-year B.E/B.Tech degree from a recognized university. Accepted specializations include Computer Science, Information Technology, Information Science, Software Engineering, Information Security, Cyber Security, Computer Networking, and other related disciplines as detailed in the official notification.
- Age Limit:
- General/EWS: 28 Years
- OBC (NCL): 31 Years
- SC/ST: 33 Years
- PwBD: An additional 10 years of relaxation is applicable.
Selection Process: Walk-in Interview
The selection will be done directly through a walk-in process. However, there's a very important first step.
- Mandatory Pre-registration: Before attending the walk-in, all interested candidates must pre-register online using the QR code in the official notification. The last date to register is 24th September 2025.
- Walk-in Written Test/Interview: Registered candidates must report to the venue on 26th September 2025 for the selection process.
Crucial Points for the Walk-in Day
- No Registration, No Entry: If you do not pre-register, you will not be allowed to participate in the selection process.
- Be on Time: The reporting time is sharp at 8:00 AM. The gates will close at 8:30 AM, and no one will be allowed to enter after that.
- Be Prepared: The selection process might take more than one day. So, come prepared to stay for an extra day if required.
- No Travel Allowance: Please note that no TA/DA or any other travel expenses will be paid for attending the walk-in selection.
