Salary / Pay Scale
Selected candidates will be appointed to the Group - A (Junior Branch-II) of Odisha Veterinary Service with an attractive salary package.
- Pay Scale: ₹ 56,100/- per month in Level 12, Cell-1 of the Pay Matrix under ORSP Rules, 2017.

OPSC VAS 2025: Eligibility Criteria
Age Limit (as on 01-01-2025)
- Minimum Age: 21 Years
- Maximum Age: 42 Years
- Candidates must have been born not earlier than 2nd January 1983 and not later than 1st January 2004.
Age Relaxation Rules
The upper age limit is relaxable for the following categories:
- By 5 years for SEBC, SC, ST, Women & Ex-Servicemen candidates.
- By 10 years for Persons with Disabilities (PwD).
- PwD candidates belonging to SEBC/SC/ST categories are eligible for a cumulative age relaxation of 15 years.
Educational Qualification
A candidate must possess the following qualifications by the closing date of application:
- A Bachelor's degree in Veterinary Science & Animal Husbandry (B.V.Sc. & A.H.) or its equivalent from a recognized University in India or abroad.
- A valid Registration Certificate under the Odisha Veterinary Practitioners Act, 1970.
- Candidates with degrees from foreign universities must possess the required conversion certificates recognized by the Veterinary Council of India (VCI).
Other Eligibility Conditions
- The candidate must be a citizen of India.
- They must be able to speak, read, and write Odia and must have passed M.E. School or a higher examination with Odia as a language subject.
